Vaibhav Shukla is the Managing Partner and head of the Corporate & Commercial and Government Affairs, Regulatory and Policy practice groups of VALS LEGAL.

With over 25 years of experience, Vaibhav has been involved with several large and complex transactions across various sectors, including cross-border and domestic mergers & acquisitions, private equity, foreign direct investment, domestic and international joint ventures, infrastructure and multi-jurisdictional projects. His clients include multinational and large Indian business groups in the financial services, steel, power, ports, railways & metro railways, construction, roadways, real estate, technology, hospitality, pharmaceutical and entertainment sectors. In the last decade, Vaibhav has worked on some of the biggest and marquee M&A and joint venture transactions in India.

Vaibhav also specializes in forming investment and dispute resolution strategies for corporates and high net worth individuals. With a dual qualification as a Solicitor in England & Wales and as an advocate of the Supreme Court of India, Vaibhav regularly acts for multinational and domestic companies in connection with their commercial, contractual, debt recovery, insolvency and IP related disputes. Vaibhav has been involved in several large litigation and arbitration matters in India for his international and domestic clients and also in various litigation matters for several Indian clients in their international disputes.

Vaibhav also heads the Firm’s Government Affairs, Regulatory and Policy practice and has been making representations to various governments on behalf of several large corporates. Vaibhav is involved on advising and structuring projects for governments across various sectors. Vaibhav's previous experience includes being a Senior Partner with London based Indian law firm Khaitan Legal Associates and before that with Desai & Diwanji, one of India’s largest corporate law firms. Prior to that, Vaibhav was based in London and was heading MLS Chase’s (international law firm) India desk.
