Asmita has experience of over 20 years and is part of Firm’s Banking & Finance, Real Estate & Construction, Corporate & Commercial and Infrastructure & Energy Practice groups. She advises on all types of financing matters including project financing, external commercial borrowings, cross border bilateral and syndicated financings, acquisition finance, private credit, trade finance, structured finance and real estate financing. She has extensive experience in advising banks and financial institutions on structuring of loan documentation, security creation and enforcement of underlying securities.
Asmita has represented and advised leading infrastructure companies on various infrastructure projects including financing involving roads, urban infrastructure, railways etc. She has substantial experience in advising real estate companies on real estate development and re-development projects, acquisition of agricultural and non-agricultural land parcels for development of townships, IT Parks, hotels, schools etc. She has been extensively involved with joint ventures, transfers, tenancy, title certificates, title reports, legal due diligence, statutory compliance audit and legal risk management.
Asmita has working closely with the Firm’s Mergers & Acquisition and Private Equity and Corporate & Commercial practice groups on drafting of various corporate and commercial agreements. Asmita’s previous experience includes working with Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co. and Dudhat Pereira & Associates.
